CREATIVITY
We love to develop and celebrate creativity across the curriculum. We believe creativity should be an integral part of learning so children are confident, independent, and expressive individuals who can work together and on their own to produce outstanding art of all types which showcase their personality and resilience.
Our children learn about and are exposed to art, music and dance by their class teachers and the many professional organisations we maintain links with.
Art is taught by a specialist teacher and the children are offered the opportunity to visit the National Gallery as part of their learning. This has inspired the children to create galleries of their own!
Dance is taught as part of the P.E. curriculum but Y3 are very fortunate to benefit from workshops and performances from professional dancers at The Place.
Music is brought to life for the children by the workshops and performances provided by English National Opera, Royal Academy of Music and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. Seeing such high quality performances, often in very intimate settings, inspire our children to take to the stage themselves!
