What We Do
We run a regular set of events as well as some more individual events.
We have all the school essentials including bake sales and book swaps, movie nights, an early years picnic, lolly sales, our very popular annual Christmas and Summer Fairs… and so much more!
Bake Sales
We hold these periodically, sometimes themed, usually accompanied by a book swap. They take place in the big playground or, if it’s raining, in the ground floor hall. We appreciate donations, homemade or bought. Yes, it’s a bake sale, but we also love to receive savoury items and fruit. You can leave donations at the office in the morning, or bring them straight to the sale at 3.10pm (sale starts at 3.30pm).
Please ensure items are nut free.
As always, we need volunteers, so if you can help, please do let us know!
Book Swaps
These usually accompany bake sales and take place in the big playground or, if it’s raining, in the ground floor hall.
Bring books for primary school age kids to swap, or buy them for just 50p each. Please note we cannot accept baby books.
Movie Nights
We run these periodically but are only possible to run with enough volunteers. We show a movie usually on a Thursday at 4.30pm in the middle hall. Children are provided with popcorn and snacks as well as pizza and/or hotdogs as part of their entry fee (paid to the office in advance).
The movie will be appropriate for all the children and announced a couple of weeks before the event.
This is a drop off event, but parents of Reception and Year 1 children are asked to stay - a parent’s room will be set up for this.
Early Years Picnic
A few weeks into the new school year, we organise a lovely picnic for Nursery and Reception parents and children (siblings welcome) to help everyone get to know each other. Simply bring something to share, a picnic blanket and get chatting!
Summer and Winter Fairs
These are our big events of the year. As you can imagine, we have the usual fun and games stalls, seasonal drinks, face painting, nail painting, coloured hairsprays, bouncy castles, a cake stall, tombola stall, performances, arts and crafts, and, of course, our enviable raffle and auctions!
The events are organised entirely by volunteers and so we need as much help as we can get!
Frozen Friday Ice Lolly Sales
In the warmer months, we swap our Bake Sales for Ice lolly sales! Find us in the playground near the Jungle Shed. This is a popular event, so come early to get your choice of the lollies, and extra hands are always appreciated.
Allergen information can be provided - ideally please contact us beforehand so that we can send you ingredient details for you to look at.
Costume Sales
We are trialling a costume sale, which will take place not long before World Book Day and then periodically before events such as Halloween. The event is subject to us receiving sufficient donations and will run alongside a Bake Sale. Please leave your donations at the office.
Make sure you are subscribed to our mailing list for reminders about upcoming events so you don't miss out.
